NEW SERVICES TO BE ADDED

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

We can help you find a suitable home with our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and accommodation options.

Happy Carers is a provider of Supported Independent Living across Victoria for Adults with complex needs associated with mental health or a dual disability.

Our services are suitable for people between the ages of 18 and 65. The people we work with are encouraged and supported to live independently in group homes or their own home.

Our support workers help people with the daily tasks in their homes and in the community so that people can live a fulfilling life that is as independent as possible. For example, our staff support people to build skills in:

– Nutrition and cooking meals
– Cleaning and laundry
– Personal care
– Going to appointments
– Medication assistance
– Taking up hobbies
– Engaging with the local community
– Learning to catch public transport
– Having the voice and choice to thrive

ACCOMADATION

SDA/   Shared Accommodation
Through our shared accommodation services, we provide a communal living solution that ideally suits two to five people. Housemates are appropriately and meticulously selected, in order to create a harmonious environment and promote positive relationships and interactions.

SDA

SDA refers to accommodation for people who require specialist housing solutions, including to assist with the delivery of supports that cater for their extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) will be funded separately to Supported Independent Living in your NDIS plan.
